Hacienda Robotics

Welcome to the Hacienda Robotics web site. This site is built and maintained by coaches, kids and other volunteers of the Hacienda Robotics program. If you have any feedback or questions, please contact the webmaster.

Since 2001 Hacienda has been an active participant in the FIRST LEGO League. We've had hundreds of kids succesfully complete the program, creating many memorable moments along the way. The experience and knowledge gained, along with friendships made, are the biggest benefits to FLL participants. Whether it's 2005's Director's Award winning Surfer Girls, or any of the first time rookie teams, everyone finishes the season with a huge smile on their face.

The 2006 teams are already hard at work on this year's challenge. We're looking forward to another fun and exciting program this year.

Now that the challenge details have been announced it's time to get busy and start working on those missions. To help teams practice we've put together a PDF form that quickly calculates your total score for all missions. You will need Adobe Reader or Acrobat to use this form. One of the objectives of this site is to teach kids and coaches in the Hacienda Robotics program more about LEGO robotics, including building techniques, programming and other concepts that are needed for participating in FIRST LEGO League challenges. To accomplish this goal we have posted some projects and lesson notes that teach various concepts of LEGO robotics.
